Garðar
Garðar was built in Esbjerg, Denmark in 1964. Designed by Icelanders for Icelanders the vessel has an extraordinary history, owned by the same family for 42 years. It is said that only 3 captains steered this successful fishing vessel until the 4th one, a North Sailing captain took over the Boat in Ólafsvík in autumn 2006 when North Sailing bought the boat. Garðar has undergone major restoration and renovation in Húsavík harbour and the shipyard over the last few years. The boat is the longest oak boat in use in Iceland today, spacious and comfortable for passengers.
