Humpbacks in main role - Pilot whales spotted.


The last few days have been more or less just fantastic out on the bay with huge humpback whales lifting their tails high up in the air.

Not only have humpbacks been spotted as captain Hrólfur spotted a group of Pilot whales rushing around the bay this morning. Thei are hard to observe and no pictures were taken this time.

The Humpbacks are back!


After a few days of stormy weather the Humpbacks decided to return in Skjálfandi Bay!

Dolphins doing their best...


Humpback whales have been spotted in most of our tours the last few days but today has been difficult spotting them and actually some tours nothing has been spotted at all!!

Humpbacks in the bay after a big storm


Crews and passengers were relieved when they discovered that humpbacks were still in the bay after two days of heavy winds and rain.

Today was a very busy day as all trips, both saturday and sunday had to be cancelled due to weather and almost seven hundred people sailed with North Sailing boats on a total of 13 departures.
