These last months our boats have been undergoing routine maintenance so they'll be at their very best during the summer.

An new whaling season has sadly started in Iceland.

 

The crew and passengers on Náttfari this afternoon got an amazing show when they spotted a minke whale that breached over 40 times.

We had the plesure of welcoming a choir from Reykjavík this morning and they sang a few Icelandic songs for us on the way into the harbour. 

 

 

A beautiful day with 3 minke whales and 3 humpback whales.

A group of youngsters from the local school went out this morning but the trip was a part of a whale project that they participate in.

Another sunny day and even better than yesterday. We went out on Náttfari at ten o‘clock, me, captain Hrólfur and Hörður as an engineer. After sailing for maybe 20 minutes...

Last weekend, Arved Fuchs and his team celebrated 20 years of expeditions with the "haikutter" Dagmar Aaen.  This highly successful 18 meter long former fishing cutter built in Esbjerg 1931 has covered more miles than most of it's like.  

The first humpback whale of the season was spotted on the tour this morning.
