Lundey, Grímsey, Flatey and Whale watching

It is safe to say that variety was descriptive of North-Sailing´s tours last Sunday morning when 5 boats sailed out on behalf of the company.

In addition to North-Sailing´s 4 renovated whale watching boats Húni II has been leased temporarily from Akureyri to keep up with the high season. Húni II served as a whale watching boat from Hafnarfjörður for 8 years before being bought to Akureyri.

That Sunday morning Húni II sailed with 80 passengers to Grímsey, Knörrinn took a group to Flatey island, Haukur sailed to Lundey and then to see whales in the popular tour "Whales, Puffins and Sails". Bjössi Sör and Náttfari both went on traditional whale watching tours.

All of the above mentioned trips were a success and amongst other the passengers of Húni II saw Blue whales around Grímsey, but they haven´t been seen in Skjálfandi bay for a few days.
