Happy Humback whales

The past few weeks have been incredible in regards to whale sightings. Humpback whales have been seen in almost every tour this summer, more often than ever- or at least since the beginning of whale watching in Skjálfandi bay. Blue whales were also a common sight in the bay until a few days ago but they seem to have left the bay for now. We do of course hope for their return but in the meantime other species such as Minke whales, White beaked dolphins and Harbour porpoises can be seen from time to time.

It has been rather cold for the past few days and might be so for the next days. For the convenience of our passengers we have some warm clothing on board our boats such as overalls, blankets, raincoats, hats and gloves.
