4 minke whales, 10 humpbacks, 10 journalists &16 dolphins!

Never before have so many humpbacks been seen on a North Sailing tour as last night when 10 humpbacks where sighted along with 3-4 minke whales. Two boats, ‘Bjössi Sör’ and Schooner ‘Haukur’, sailed out on the bay last night during this fantastic whale festival in the midnight sun.

Today was a busy day for North Sailing and in the afternoon we took out a special group of French journalists that work for various newspapers, radio and TV stations, including France Bleu, Normand IPC, Ouest-France, La Mance Libre and Normandi TV. The trip went really well and the journalists got to enjoy the magnificent wildlife on Skjálfandi Bay.

This season North Sailing has gone out on around 50 tours and the sighting rate has been 100% and humpbacks have been seen on all but one tour.

The following pictures have been taken during the past few days.
