Wounded Humpback whale

The wounded Humpback whale has been here in the bay for at least one week now. He has been very lively and we are pretty sure that he is not in a lot of pain from his wounded fluke. But it is clear that this Humpback has got tangled in a ghost net (net that drifts in the sea) and therefore got wounded on his fluke.

It is always bad to see a wounded animal but this one has not been behaving differently than other Humpback whales here in the bay, so we think that this wound is not bothering him that much.

The Humpback will hopefully stay here for few more weeks and we sure hope that he will get better as soon as possible.
