Jumping Humpback whale

Two days ago passengers on board schooner Haukur and Bjössi Sör witnessed a very active Humpback whale jumping for about 3 hours without stopping. We have seen some jumps this summer but nothing like that. When they jump the usually just do it few times but this one reminded us of the Humpback that
jumped over 300 times two years ago.

It´s hard to explain the feeling when you see a 30 ton animal flying in the air. For most people it is a once in a lifetime experience. But to see it jump for 3 hours is unique. As I said above, we have seen some jumps this summer and hopefully the show will go on for the guests of Skjálfandi Bay in coming weeks.
