Word from more members of Hildur’s crew

We‘ve now got more word on the Greenland expedition of Hildur. Crew member Gísli just sent us some pictures and told us a little bit about how the expedition has been going. Since we last heard from them they have reached Ittoqqortoormiit where, after getting instructions from the inhabitants, they dropped anchor. Remy one of the crewmembers, who had been in Greenland before, helped with interpretations. That night they cooked a musk ox they received from the inhabitants and crewmembers ate heartily as some of them had been too seasick while at sea to eat anything much. After dinner they decided to check out a bar in town that is only open one day a month; payday. They headed back to bunk early that night as the captain had decided that they would head out at around 5 o’clock the next morning. They sailed north the fjord, by which the airport stands, to Constable Point in strong winds. There they picked up four crewmembers before heading out on what Gísli calls the most exciting part of the expedition and we wait anxiously for more news.
