Hildur arrived to Greenland

Schooner Hildur arrived in Scoresby Sund last night. The sailing was smooth until they reached Cape Brewster and ice was blocking their way. They sailed further north and managed to work their way through the ice and enter the fjord close to cape Tobin.

When navigating through the ice, the crew was surprised by a local inhabitant, the majestic polar bear who was extremely cuorious and came as close as 10-15 meters away from the boat.

It was a young animal and looked quite hungry so after taking a few pictures, they decided to back away and find another way to pass the polar bear with greater distance.

Passengers were then picked up at Constaple Point this morning and ahead is a 7 day adventurous sailing through the the fjord system of Scoresby Sund.
