It was getting a bit windy when me and capt Hrólfur went out at 17:00 but it calmed down again in the evening.

The weather today was a bit rough in the 17 o'clock tour, but got better in the evening.  To start off the former tour, me and the captain saw a Minke whale breaching in the rough seas,...

The day has been pretty much like yesterday apart from the fact that the humpback whales haven't shown up again. But there are plenty of minke whales around still and groups of white beaked dolphins traveling around as well.

Finally some humpback whales found their way into the bay, the schooner Haukur found two humpback whales this morning and they were seen on three tours today.

Today was a little bit colder than the past few days, with the wind picking up around midday.

Today was another great day for whale watching.

Calm waters and a little cloud cover made today an excellent day for whale watching.

Today started out with rough weather which prevented us from going out on our first 3 tours.

It has been a beautiful day in Skjálfandi Bay today, sunny and practically no wind.

I was a bit pessimistic when I went out this morning. It was a strong wind in the morning and the sea bumpy and conditions to search quite poor.

I went out on two tours today on trusty, old Knörrinn with captain Ólafur and in both of them the weather was absolutely fantastic, and if anything, it only got better as the day progressed.  

This was an amazingly beautiful day. No wind and the sun shining in the beginning, it was though raining just a little bit in the evening. And I think I just had the funniest tour I’ve ever had.

The weather in Húsavík was amazing today but I can’t say the same about the weather in the bay, it was very windy.

Last night the weather had got a bit worse and this morning the sea was still a bit rough. And in the morning we had no success with whales, really difficult to find them. However, in the afternoon the weather was getting better and the sea calming down.

The sea was a bit rough in our last trip of the day, but that doesn't stop us from going whale whatching. We went out at 20:15 on Bjössi Sör and expirienced some heavy rain and rough sea. We managed to see plenty of harbour porpoises, white-beaked dolphins and two minke whales, one of them even leaping out of the water!!
