A breaching Humpback whale!

The humpback whale has been seen on both our tours today, and during the afternoon tour we even saw him breaching!

The first Humpback whale of the season!

The weather has been very nice the last days here in Húsavík with a lot of sun, especially yesterday. Minke whales and harbour porpoises were seen during our last trips as well as a growing number of seabirds.

Killer whales kick-start the 17th season of North Sailing!

killer-whale-nosewaveAfter a slow start with 3 tours where the playful Harbour porpoises played the main role, things started to get serious today.   Knörrinn, with 13 passengers (lucky 13) headed out to the bay into a glittering Skjálfandi bay with the magnificent mountains of Kinn graciously rising at the horizon.
