Minke whales and the botttlenose whale

We had not gone far out today at 10:00 when we spotted a minke whale. Both me and captain Hörður on Snorri and Náttfari started to follow this minke whale. And we followed it for all the way to Puffin Island. It just kept on swimming north but at one point it was so close to the land that we couldn't get close to it, the water wasn't deep enough for the boat! But then it went deeper and it was really nice. Once we had followed it all the way to Puffin Island we sailed towards the Island and had a nice puffin show and then we had another minke whale on the way back.

My second tour was a lot different because we only saw a minke whale briefly but instead we saw the northern bottlenose whale quite good. I was always hoping it would breach for us like it has sometimes been doing in the last days but it unfortunately didn't. It came really close though at one point so we saw the weird shaped head good.
