An unsuccessful day

Today was not so good. I had two trips, both with Britta, another guide here at North Sailing. We saw practically nothing all day.

In the first trip I caught a glimpse of a minke whale. I only saw it come up to breathe two or three times but then we lost it. The visibility was awful; The sea was rough so all waves looked like minke whales, which in these days of only minkes is very bad. In the second trip we saw some harbour porpoises for a minute but then they disappeared like porpoises always do.

All of today‘s journeys were unsuccessful. Perhaps the whales left the bay due to the bad weather forecast. Hopefully this is not a hint of what is to come, whale watching is no fun without whales.

Helga, guide.
