Volcano eruption in South Iceland

Today is the third day of volcanic eruption under Eyjafjallajökull glacier in the South of Iceland. Now it seems to be stable and it´s worth mentioning that there has been no ash fall in the North of Iceland were we´re located.

It is completely safe to visit Húsavík and the northern part of Iceland when international airtraffic will reopen and while domestic flight and other communications methods are open.

For further information about the eruption and consequences, go to Visit Iceland, the official travel guide to Iceland.

For information about Húsavík Whale Watching and conditions in our area, please contact info@northsailing.is or give us a call +354 464 7272, we´re open 24/7.
