Whale Watching Blog

June 5th 2010

Foggy day but still, four species.

Unfortunately the weather had changed a bit today and it was quite foggy the whole day. We didn’t find any blue whales today, hard to say if it was because they have gone or because we couldn’t spot them in the fog. But that doesn’t mean that we were out of luck today. The first half of the day we found two or three humpback whales, some minke whales, harbour porpoises and dolphins. When we went out at 17:00 the fog had though got a lot thicker, we couldn’t find any humpback whales but we had great luck with three minke whales. And of course, a lot of puffins!
