A curious minke whale

In the beginning it was a bit difficult day, the whales seemed to have gone out of the bay when the first boats went out. Slowly though both the weather got better and the number of whales increased. When I went out at 17:00 it was absolutely brilliant. I didn’t see any blue whale though but the weather was amazing and we found a minke whale that put on a show. It was so beautiful, I haven’t seen a minke whale like this for a really long time. It played around the boat for around a half an hour, always coming up right next to us. Sometimes it was so close we could have touched it! I took my young nephew with me and he was quite impressed. I think this tour just shows how the days are different and that tours can be really beautiful even though the desired giants, the blue whale and the humpback whale, take off for a while.
