Whale Watching Blog

June 28th 2010

A chilly wind, but plenty to see still + a few photos!

The weather inland is lovely, quite sunny and nice.  As you head out to Skjálfandi, you can feel how the wind picks up from the north, chilly and strong.  As always, you simply have to dress it off, and there are of course plenty of overalls for everyone on board.

The wind doesn't stop the whales, and so far today we've seen plenty of Minke whales busily feeding, and some White Beaked Dolphins playing around and checking us out as well!

Here are also a few shots of a big Minke whale, taken on a tour the other day.

* Update: This evening there was a Blue Whale spotted by crew and passengers aboard Bjössi Sör! :)
