Beautiful day with a curious minke whale and dolphins

The weather in Húsavík today is amazing, the bay completely calm and the sky clear. The scenery doesn't get much more beautiful than on a day like today.

This morning a cruise ship arrived in Húsavík harbour and a part of the passengers went out whale watching with me at 9:00. We had the most amazing tour, the scenery stunning and we spotted a really nice minke whale close to the mountains in the western part of the bay and it put on a show for us. Came a few times up to the boat, checking the passengers out so it was actually both a tourist watching and whale watching. In the end we also saw a small group of white beaked dolphins.

We have a few nice pictures here from this morning, taken by Christian.
