Whale in spite of the wind!

This morning there were strong winds from the south blowing when we went out and as the time went by they got even stronger!

We were incredibly lucky though, because after about an hour we came across a Minke whale which surfaced right next to the boat a couple of times before diving into the waves which by then were growing bigger and bigger.

We managed to follow the Minke whale for a while before the sea got too rough. When it's windy like this and white caps everywhere you look it is reather difficult to spot whales so we were happy that we had success before it got too bad :)

The passengers were probably delighted to return to the harbour after a very wet tour, with water coming in the boat a lot, but everyone had smiles on their faces after this Icelandic sea adventure! :)

We cancelled the afternoon tour due too these strong winds.
