The return to Skjálfandi bay

Today the harbor filled with life again, after one week of bad weather both local fisherman and whale watchers were happy to go out into the bay!

We went on two tours, at 10:00 and 13:30, and in both of them we were successful.
In the morning we found a humpback whale, a group of dolphins and another of harbor porpoises.
In the afternoon we watched a minke whale feed close to the mountains and hundreds of birds -kittiwakes, fulmars and arctic terns- were picking up the leftovers!

The weather was absolutely great, sunny and calm.

Halla Marín, guide.
