Wet but incredible day at sea

Today was an absolutely amazing day. I went on three tours with capt. Hreiddi on Knörrinn. It rained quite hard on the last two tours but we had incredible luck with the whales today. On the first tour we caught a glimpse of a minke whale early on but it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared. We kept going as we had heard from the first boat to go out that there was a humpback whale in the north western part of the bay. We managed to find, not only this whale, but another humpback and a blue whale. While heading out we also ran into some harbour porpoises and got a quick look at these elusive whales. On our second tour we headed to the same area where we found four humpbacks and two blue whales. Two of the humpback whales were swimming side by side the whole time and were probably mother and calf. On  the third trip we found all of these whales again. Going on three tours in one day can be a little tiring but on days like these it is an absolute pleasure.
