Three whale species
This was my first day at sea this year and I can’t say I was disappointed. It was pretty cold, that’s to expect in May, but the sun broke out in the afternoon which was really nice. On the earlier tour we saw three nice minke whales and lots and lots of puffins. We went quite close to the Puffin Island and I can’t remember seeing so many puffins flying around at the same time.
We didn’t manage to find the humpback whales from yesterday though at the first trip but on the second trip we found both of them after some search. One of them started waving the flippers and rolling in the surface which was really funny, making the passengers laugh out loud. On the way back to the harbour we also caught a glimpse on one minke whale and on the way out we had spotted porpoises. So three whale species today, a very nice beginning of my season!
