Razorbill

Razorbill (Alca torda)

Razorbill is common all around Iceland. It nests in rocky slopes beneath sea cliffs and sometimes in gaps or fractures in the cliffs. It feeds mainly on small fish like sandeel and capelin.

A few pairs of Razorbill nest in the islands Mánáreyjar and they are regularly seen foraging in the Skjálfandi bay.
