Four species for the whale watchers
The Saturday morning started with a lot of sun and shortly after leaving the harbor we encountered our first species. We saw some harbor porpoise and shortly after that we had a small group of white beaked dolphins swimming around the boat. After some time we saw a big blow far in the distance. On the way to the blow we had the chance to even see another species and that was a minke whale. That minke whale was only surfacing once but long enough that everybody could have a nice look at the whale. As we got closer to the original blow area we could pick up a very blue back of a whale and were very happy that we encounter another blue whale. This whale was diving for quite some time but we got a few sights of it before we were heading further north to see a humpback whale we spotted in the distance. The humpback whale was going in a really slow paste and one could wonder if it was nap time for the whale.
With so many different impressions everybody was happy to enjoy the hot chocolate in the sun on the way home.
