So far so good
Almost a month into the whale watching season Humpback whales have been the most common sighting in North-Sailing?s tours. The first days of the season Blue whales were sighted and one can only hope that they will return to the bay and greet the many guests that come to Húsavík and North-Sailing to enjoy the magnificent wildlife of Skjálfandi bay.
In addition to whale sightings the birdlife of Skjálfandi is bustling, the Puffin being the most popular of birds. We encourage enthusiastic whale watchers to book in advance either by calling tel. +354 464 7272 or by sending an email: firstname.lastname@example.org. Humpbacks have been the most common whale species this season.
Blue whales were seen on the first couple of tours but not since then. Last year, blue whales were seen in 94 North Sailing trips, mostly in June and July.
