Whale Watching Season Starts in Árskógssandur
We are super excited to kick off the 2026 whale watching season in Árskógssandur, with tours starting already in February. Nestled on the western shore of Eyjafjörður, this charming seaside village has become a true hotspot for unforgettable whale encounters — both in summer and winter!

Home of the humpback whales in Eyjafjörður
Eyjafjörður has proven to be an exceptional feeding ground for whales, and humpback whales are a common sight on our tours from Árskógssandur. Over the past three years, our tours here have had an impressive 98% whale sighting rate, making Árskógssandur one of North Iceland’s most reliable whale watching locations.
Operating on our beautifully restored oak boats, we combine classic whale watching tours with comfort, warmth and expert guidance — the perfect recipe for a great experience at sea.
